Boys and girls! Ask your fathers and mothers to buy real Clinching Screws boots and shoes. No nails or pegs to tear the stockings and hurt the feet. Don't wear other screw nails, and disable your feet; but stick to the clincher, which can't be beat. These cards are free; ask shoe dealers for them; millions given away. Soldiers prefer them to all the others, and miners will have nothing else.

Chromolithograph (poster), Boston Public Library

Belle Époque and Art Nouveau commercial poster art ran on the same chromolithographic presses that produced the era’s coffee, tea, and tobacco advertising. The brand may be forgotten; the poster is what survives.
