Victorian and Edwardian coffee imagery (1837–1910) is the bridge between the early European coffeehouse era and the Belle Époque poster era. Domestic-genre paintings, magazine illustration, and trade ephemera dominate. These pieces are quieter than the Belle Époque posters but contain some of the most accurate records of household coffee ritual ever painted.
